BatchMapping™ Wizard
The BatchMapping™ Wizard is designed to help you create sophisticated maps and reports for your marketing and sales presentations. This tool lets you adjust labels, merchants, demographic shadings, and layouts for one location or several locations with just a few clicks. The BatchMapping™ Wizard uses the REGIS™ Auto Road Labeler and the Merchant Auto Spreader to make your maps clearer and cleaner than ever. The end result is an individualized compilation of custom maps and reports you can proudly use for all of your presentation needs.
Display Settings
You can choose to enable any of the following features, each feature selected will be shown on each Map Layout that you create in the BatchMapping™ Wizard.
- Auto Road Labeler - Systematically labels the designated road file, and automatically adjusts the
road labels to fit the curvature of the roads.
- Auto Highway Shields Labeler - Systematically places highway shields on visible highways and interstates.
- Railroads - Makes all railroads visible.
- Rivers and Lakes - Makes all rivers and lakes visible.
- Geographic Features - Makes objects in the Geofeatures layer visible (i.e., parks, sport complexes,
golf courses, military installations, colleges, airports, etc).
Map Layouts and Reports
- Layouts - Under the Layout tab, select as many layouts you wish to create. If you
right-click on the map, in the Output column, you can rename or remove it.
- Reports - Under the Reports tab, choose as many reports you wish to create.
- Shopping Centers
- Traffic Counts
- Major Employers
- Label Major Employers
For example:
Office 1 layout will show Super Regional and Regional/Power shopping centers.
Office 2 layout will show Traffic Counts and Major Employers, with labels.
Shading Options
You can select completely unique shading options for each map layout.
- Variable List - By default, the Shading Variable list is set to NO SHADING. Using the dropdown
menu, you can select your desired shading variable, and a corresponding
shading option.
- Thematic Overlay - There are several different dot density overlays you can include on your map.
- Settings - Shadings can be done on several different geography layers; however, Block
Groups is the most accurate.
- Pre-defined Color Schemes - REGIS™ has several pre-defined color schemes to choose from.
Depending on the region you are mapping, you may need to adjust the
shading range.
